Sweet Ramya from Ramya's Bookshelf is featuring my TOP (yes, cream of the crop) five favourite books of all time. It was hard to pick five, ten even would have been hard...but these are books that I have loved over time, not just for a season. Go check them out and tell me what you think!
Go see for yourself at:B&b on Ramya's bookshelf. Then come back and give me your top five!!! I would love to put more books on my list, as I am such an avid book glutton anyway :) Happy reading peeps!
What are your top five all time favourite books!?!?!

I love Ramya's feature and left you a comment over there. I know I want to read The Wednesday Sisters soon now.
Thanks for the recommendations!
I've read several of your picks; Uncle Tom's Cabin is amazing!
you are making that tbr list of mine grow again!
I checked it out and posted a comment there but wanted to post a comment here too.
I loved Watership Down and Uncle Tom's Cabin. UTC was a book that I suggested for my book club ages ago and no one wanted to read it, but everyone ended up loving it. It was just so well written.
bermudaonion- yes, it is such a great feature!! I love seeing what everyone claims as their favourites. Yes, you MUST read it....I really think you'd enjoy it.
S.Krishna- you are welcome!
Wordlilly- Oh yes, amazing. I have read it three times!
Serena- Sorry :( But maybe that is a good thing, right!?!

Great list, Bethany. I really need/want to read Watership Down. I loved The Hiding Place--such a moving book.
Great pick of classics!! You still got me one for the wishlist, though! Does it ever stop...? :P
AHH! I just spent 10 minutes writing a reply to your cool, not cool post and when I submitted, I got the message you have disabled comments and my comment was gone. *cries*
I haven't read even one of your top 5!! Now, I'm feeling kind of like I must go to the library right now and pick up at least one!!
I would have to say my top 5 books ever are:
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, The Stand by Stephen King and The Book Thief by Mark Zuzak. But that could change!
Bethany,
I love your list! I think my top 5 would have to be (in no particular order):
The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell
House of Stairs by William Sleator
The Story of Jumping Mouse retold by John Steptoe
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Friend by Christopher Moore
Country of the Pointed Firs by Sarah Orne Jewett
There's quite a variety here, and there are at least another 5 I could name!
Thanks, Bethany! I've got some new books TBR...
I think it is a good thing! :)
Psst. I've given you an award!
