Orbis Terrarum for 2009

[ed02009OT.png]

Hey OT peeps!

We are going to be finishing up the time for the first Orbis Terrarum Challenge next month!! I know many of you have finished already. If you have a couple left, there is still plenty of time. Keep-a-readin'.

I am going to be hosting this challenge again next year for sure and I would like any suggestions you have. After the 20th of December, when the OT challenge is officially over I will have the last giveaway. All links to book reivews or thoguhts on the Mr. linky
will count as an entry, and at the end of the challenge I will ask you all some questions for the improvement of next year's challenge. You will also get an entry for giving me some answers and helping me make some great changes for next year. You can make suggestions now if you'd like, just comment below! I 'd love to hear what you think!!!!

Here is a glimpse at 2009's Orbis Terrarum challenge button, if you want to snag it already :)
I will start sign ups the month before we start reading, in March.

Hi Bethany,

I've had great fun with this challenge, and I look forward to participating in it again next year for sure. Thank you for offering it and for all the energy you've displayed as a host. I wouldn't recommend any major changes other than maybe making it a year-long challenge (12 books in 12 months) down the road...if that wouldn't be too big a drain on you, that is. There are certainly other challenges out there that look interesting as well, but the OT Challenge is the best one I've seen by far. You should take a bow for your efforts!

Awesome... count me in-- i have put p this lovely banner on my blog [ did u see it?!]

u know u r really good at making nice banners :)

and I think for OT 2009- we should read books from countries we have not read in 2008 :) [ well that's kind of already there] but thats my wish :)

And for everyone looking for different countries and different recommendations they can always go to the mister linky page of OT book reviews!

SO excited! I've already started thinking of my 09 books! One suggestion that I have is to make the link to the Mister Linky really visable so we don't have to search for it when dropping off a link (or maybe it is and I just never noticed). :P Otherwise, LOVE IT.

I agree with Trish's suggestion - otherwise, it is a fantastic challenge. I can't wait to start reading :)

I'll sign up again for sure! I like the challenge within a challenge idea i.e read from countries not personally visited in this year's challenge.

I really wanted to sign up for the 2008 challenge, but by the time I found it I was snowed under with other challenges! So I'm definitely interested in the 2009 version. Will overlaps with other challenges be allowed?
