NaNoWriMo: update 2

NaNoWriMo= National Novel Writing Month

I am writing a novel.(ahhhhh, freaky!!!)I didn't say that I know what I am doing, or that it will be good...just that I am taking the leap. The idea of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words in one month. Haha, yes after which I will check myself in to a sterilized room with soft walls and locks on the outside of my door! (let's hope not)
So far so good...but I have no idea how what I have will amount to 50,000 words. I will keep you posted. Make sure you keep me updated as well!!! This is fun, but I am currently out of the honeymoon phase, right now I feel like I am writing like a 5th grader (no offense).
Yep, I will keep you informed.

I am at 7,707 words as of tonight.

(and writing)

PS. just so you know, this whole NaNoWriMo thing means I won't be posting as many reviews this month, or reading a whole lot.

I had a really hard time buckling down to write even 1000 words today. and my inner editor keeps pointing out how fond I seem to be of the adverb "slowly." but my total, according to my messed up Mac Word counter is just over 9000. (I'll be moving sometime this month, so I have to keep up word counts as best I can now.)

I think what you're doing is fabulous. Just write! Don't critique as you go, that's what revisions are for. The fact that you are churning out words is what matters! Way to go!!

Looking forward to your posting your NaNoWriMo page so your fellow participants can add you as a buddy!

I really wish they'd fix the author search... maybe next week, when it's not so busy, eh?

Best wishes! Sounds fun (and a little insane). If we weren't relocating this month, I might have participated. Maybe next year...

jena- you are doing so great!! Yes, I am thinking I should work ahead too, but then we all have been going through the stomach flu and that is really slowing things down (and it is horrid to have!!!).
Keep up the work!!

bermudaonion- thanks so much for your sweet encouragement!!!! :)

michele- oh :) thanks! Yes I need to not critique, that is for sure. I cannot get that many words out if I stop and revise. Are you doing this too??? It sounds like you know what you are talking about!!!

Veens- yes, I will. IF IT IS GOOD is key though :) This month I am just supposed to type, type, type...so I haven't even spell checked! Next month is when it gets gritty.

serena- I could really see that being a problem. I have told myself that I cannot edit anything.

I don't even alow myself to re-read it. Yes I am crazy.

ramya- Oh, it would have been great to have you!! Depending on how it goes I may be back next year!

avisannchild- Thank you so much for your sweet words, haha...I promise it isn't glorious, just tons of work :)

jena- no doubt!

heather- Yes, with a relocation it would have been hard. I will tell you how it goes. I may try it next year too, depending on how it goes this year :)

Trixie- Thank you!! I know I keep telling myself that :)Hope yours is going well too.
