Tuesday ThiNgErS!

Brought to us by The Boston Bibliophile:

So the question this week is- how many books do you have cataloged in your LibraryThing account? How do you decide what to include- everything you have, everything you’ve read- and are there things you leave off?

Well, I really need to get my librarything account in order. As of now, I have books that I have read, books that are on my wish list to buy, and books that own, but not all of them or even most of them. It is a real mess. I have mixed feelings about settling in for an evening of just getting that set straight. I know it will happen soon, but it hasn't yet. So, my librarything account is out of whack. I wish I had one of those kitty book scanners!!! I saw them a while ago, but now I haven't seen them on there for a while. Huh, does anyone have the link? I am not sure I could justify that purchase...but maybe I could think of something!!!! OH, and I have 137 books right now that are listed....

happy Tuesday, well now it is almost Wednesday, but happy whatever anyway!!!

I've got one of the scanners on order, but so far it hasn't arrived. Problem is, at least half of my books are so old they don't have bar codes! I'm gonna need some kind of magic wand to get all those entered, too.

they still sell the cue cats- it's on the "tools" page. when you get to lt, just click on the "tools" tab and it's there. my husband bought one (they're just like $15) and it works awesome. good luck :-)

I am glad I am not the only one with out-of-whack things...lol!

I spent this last Christmas organizing, deleting, etc. I removed all the wishlist stuff and kept only reviews.

Hmmmm...wonder what I'll be doing this next Christmas....lol! (joking!)

I love the cue:cat; it makes the whole thing MUCH easier. That's why I have more than 450 books catalogued already. I just need to get around to doing the rest...

I haven't got around to buying a cue cat yet, maybe when I start on the spare room boxes I'll decide that's the time. That's a job I'm putting off.

When I first joined LT, I considered getting a cuecat, but I wanted to enter my books right then and there and the cuecat would take forever to come in the mail. It was hard work, but I had so much fun logging in all of my books. I only log in books I actually own. It's much easier now because I just log them in as they enter the house. The big part is behind me. :-)

I wish I had one of those scanners, too. I have to stay on top of my books or I will easily get out of whack like you. It's too bad that others can't pitch in to help somehow...
