b: Just started the Roy book today and it's progressing pretty well. It's an odd book, but intriguing and holding my interest thus far.

This past week's favorite: Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes.

Janeology is once removed from my next book. I can't wait to read your review. I've also had The God of Small Things has been on my TBR for such a long time. I'm eventually going to get to it during the Book Awards Challenge II. Just as soon as I get out from under my ARCs. :)

The God of Small Things took me a couple of tries to get into when I read it several years ago, but I agree: it's great!

Also, I am so in the mood to reread Watership Down. I just saw it referred to in Wait Till Helen Comes, a YA ghost story, and now on your blog. I think that's almost a sign to pick it up, don't you? ;)

I'd love to read Janeology too. It's been on the list for ages-I really need more of me. My fave last week was Nefertiti and I just finished Professors' Wives' Club which I loved. This week is The Heretic Queen, Safety of Secrets-just among a few. lol. Have a great week Bethany.

I'm reading a great anthology called The Faery Reel edited by Terri Windling and Ellen Datlow. I think I may have discovered some new favorite authors because of it!

Hey Bethany,

While I certainly envy your reading and reviewing prowess, I just can't keep up with that kind of a pace! Right now I'm reading Roberto Bolaño's "2666" and Rodrigo Fresan's "Mantra" (both great) for your world-famoso OT Challenge, but me making my way through 1600+ pages in Spanish is sort of like reading double that amount in English. In other words, I might not have another OT Challenge review for you until...well, you do the math. ¡Saludos!
