reading or resting?

I wish I could nap like a cat, seriously the boys are running around like crazies and "spider" sleeps on. She also stole my seat! The sun shining in, the spot I had been warming, I don't think she could resist that.

What is funny is that this is how you will find either (B) or I on a regular basis after the crazy boys are in bed. (B) does this almost every night, I do it more randomly as I have an agenda to finish books fast. The life of a cat though, that would be the life for me!!

My cat "Tiger" likes to steal my spot too. My husband gets a kick out of the endless battle between the cat and I for the warm spot.

Isn't it amazing how a pet always find the best spot and just takes it without a "by your leave"?

My cats are the same way. I do wish I could live their lives sometimes. To be stuck at home all day surrounded by so many books . . .

My 17-year old cat died last February but my kids and I still remember the spot on the stairs, where the sun hits just right. That was his spot and my daughter often lays there, remembering her kitty.

Cats have their priorities straight, that's for sure.

alyce- cats are brilliant! Yes, the battle is sure on.

sandra-yes! they think everything belings to them, even you!

literary feline- yes, but you have to remember they can't read! It would be torture, right?!

bermudaonion- you are welcome :)

Ramya-Thank you!! Awe....

Ti- oh, the warm sun is perfect for their fur and to warm the bones :)
That is a thing that your daughter does. Have you gotten another cat?

trish- yes, if she were a dog yes...but this cat is as prissy as they come. She just wants to be admired and adored at all times with pretty much no physical contact unless she is cold and wants to sit on your lap!! silly cat.

Eeeee! Your kitty looks so much like my Indy! Indy has that exact same totally soft, huge amount of fur. I love his furry belly and the soft tufts of fur in between his toes. He's also black and white just like your kitty. :) And his naps are a serious business. Sometimes he curls up in a ball, but other times he just plops down and passes out in this warm mass of sweet kitty fur. So darn cute!

I always lament to my dh that I wish I were a literate cat. Napping and reading, that would be the life...
