sunday salon-reads, talks and more books

My book week has been good, very good. I have read and reviewed: Love Marriage by V.V. Ganeshananthan. I loved the book it was an ARC from somewhere (can't remember right now), there were some weaknesses, but it kept my attention and made me think even more about arranged marriages vs. love marriages and that really the choice to stick around is made everyday in either of the two (that is a side note- a freebie if you will) So, not so much reading, but I am almost done with Matrimony by Joshua Henkin which I'll review soon, so far I like it.

Above (in the picture) you can see my latest used book finds:

Ragamuffin Gospel by Manning
The Teahouse Fire by Avery
A Country Year by Sue Hubbell
The Dogs of Babel by Parkhurst
Funny Farsi by Dumas
Nickel and Dimmed by Barbara Ehrenreich
Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser
The Rules of the Wild by Marciano

Have you read these?? I have heard good things about most of them, or seen good reviews...but what do you think?

This week I also had a giveaway, one for the Orbis Terrarum challengers and I'll send the books out soon. Well, I am off to finish up Matrimony the novel...I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh, and don't you forget....next Sunday is Father's day (just a heads up)!

And as always my policy stands, leave a comment, get a comment~
